Mary on the Dash was a hard driving Rock band formed on the stages of Chapel Hill, NC. An ability to play covers quickly built a club audience which grew as the band began performing their original songs. Classic Rock influenced, Mary on the Dash showed advanced song writing skills recording a great catalog of music.
Mary on the Dash has been lost to analog Chapel Hill. While they released their CD “Chäriväri” in the late eighties. Bootleg recordings of the their legendary live shows still exist. Mary on the Dash is still considered one of the best live bands to rise from the stages of Chapel Hill.
Eventually Rock and Roll aspirations end as did Mary on the Dash. An amazing collection of original songs. Known as one of the best live bands through out the region. The band members have moved onto other endeavors.
Studio A This Vintage Podcast is from a Public affairs show which aired on the radio in the late eighties. Recorded on Reel to Reel tapes, played for the first time in 30 years.
